«INTEGRATED SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL COMMUNITIES; STRENGTHENING THE RESISTANCE OF COMMUNITIES» PROGRAM
In cooperation with the United Nations Development Program /UNDP /, the ROA Ministry of Territorial Administration and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Armenian Relief Society is implementing a development program in the border communities of Tavush marz since 2016.
Within the «Integrated support for the development of rural communities; strengthening the resistance of communities» program by 2020 62.000 inhabitants from 45 border communities in Tavush marz will be given an opportunity to develop projects for their communities targeting spheres like infrastructure restoration and profitable projects for financing.
Within the program 90 greenhouses should be constructed.
As a co-financing company of the project, the ARS secured the installation of drip irrigation systems in 50 greenhouses in Dovegh, Voskevan, Berdavan, Cheenarie, Tovuz, Koghb, Aygedzor, Ptghavan, Aknaghbyur, Sariegyugh communities in Tavush.
