THE “AMANOR” (NEW YEAR) PROJECT
The “Amanor” project is being implemented since 2003 by the ARS. Within the project each ARS member is expected to allocate annually $3 USD to the project.
The following organizations receive funds from this program: The “Birds’ Nest” of Lebanon, The Armenian Home of the Aged, the “Zvartnots” School for Afflicted Children, the “Badsbaran” and the Senior Home of Syria, the Artsakh “Soseh” Kindergartens, Children’s Homes of Armenia on the receiving list of the ARS “One-Day’s Food” program, children in Javakhk considered needy by the local ARS, “Soseh” Kindergartens of Bulgaria, and the two ARS Senior Homes of South America.
SUPPORT TO CIRCULAR MIGRATION AND RE-INTEGRATION PROCESS IN ARMENIA
The ARS Regional Executive Board in Armenia together with “People in Need Representative Office in Armenia” has been implementing the European Union-funded project “Support to Circular Migration and Reintegration Process in Armenia” since the 1st of February in 2013. Within the Project, four Migration Resource Centers were established in the southern regions in the Republic of Armenia; Artashat (Ararat region), Armavir (Armavir region), Vayq (Vayots Dzor region) and Goris (Syunik region).
The four Migration Resource Centers have provided consultations to more than 2408 beneficiaries now. They were informed about the migration regime and some changes done in Russia recently, legal ways of leaving for European Union countries, insuring against migration risks and other issues.
In the frameworks of the project, business classes have been implemented and 150 returned migrants participated in them and had a chance to participate in business grant competition. 75 beneficiaries applied for the business grant competition and 10-15 beneficiaries who presented the best business plans, were given grants for establishing small business, which promoted not only the reintegration of returnees in Armenia, but also was an investment in the development of communities.
A video was shot about the project and was presented overseas. The aim of the video was to inform our worldwide compatriots about all the opportunities and services they could be offered in Migration Resource centers in case they decide to return to Armenia.

FINDING PEOPLE WHO HAVE SOVIET UNION PASSPORTS
According to the agreement between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia and the ARS Regional Executive Board in Armenia, the ARS implemented the “Finding people who have Soviet Union passports” project during July-November in 2012. The main goal of the project was to analyze the causes and effects of the problem, to create statistical data and develop further preventing Strategy on the base of that. The project was implemented with a tight cooperation with Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia Passport and Visa Department of the Police as well as with local Social Organizations dealing with issues of national minorities.
SOCIAL RESEARCH AMONG REFUGEES
The “Social research among refugees” project was implemented during March-August in 2012. The project was implemented by the ARS Regional Executive Board in Armenia with the support of the Armenian office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
The aim of the research was to discover social, health, legal and social-psychological needs of disabled refugees without age restrictions, analyze the collected information, present sex and age statistical data and discover the existing shortcomings of provided services to target groups.
